We know it can be difficult to know where to begin looking for assistance with your current business or opening a business.

This page is to help you with your business.

  • SBDC – Small Business Development Corp. They have dedicated staff that can give you one-on-one assistance to help you start, grow, and manage a business. They also offer various workshops, seminars, and courses. Follow this link, and click on the red “request advising” button to sign up.
  • Nevada RISE (Rural Investments and Support for Entrepreneurs) program – it offers forgivable loans with technical assistance and educational training.
  • Battle Born Growth – offers assistance with finding funding and resources.
  • RNDC – Rural Nevada Development Corp – offers assistance and financing opportunities to small businesses. They offer one-on-one help as well.
  • Office of Small Business Advocacy – housed under the Lieutenant Governor’s office, they can help you sort through the forms, red tape, issues with agencies, etc.

  • The Office of Entrepreneurship was just created and housed under GOED. Here is the link to the press release describing what it is all about, more information on this soon!
  • The Nevada Department of Business and Industry has tons of business resources, I encourage you to spend some time on their website seeing all they have to offer.
  • GOED also houses APEX Accelerator, who can assist businesses with pursuing government contracts (local, state, and federal).
  • Rural Business Development Grant is open for Nevada! You can apply if you are a Public Body/Government Entity, an Indian Tribe, or a Nonprofit entity primarily serving rural areas.
